The Lord is my Shepherd; I have all that I want. – Psalm 23:1

During this Holy Week, I hope you will spend some time reflecting on your relationship with the Lord. It is a week when the veil between heaven and earth is very thin. If you pause and listen, you will hear His voice calling to you.

We could ask ourselves this week, “is the Lord our Shepherd”? Do we know Him? Do we allow Him to lead us or do we work hard to lead ourselves?

The Psalmist, King David, declares that he has all that he wants because the Lord is his Shepherd. All that he wants? What is it that you want? We would do well to pause and meditate on what it is we want; what we long for. Then, talk to your Shepherd about it. Have you told Him what you want? I’m not sure He will give you that million dollars. But is that really what you desire? I mean, the deep longing of your soul…what is it crying out for?
