Kids on Mission!

This summer we have decided to do something a little different than our traditional vacation Bible school. We are teaching our kids about missions by being hands-on.

Our faith community has partnered with two other local churches to operate a week long summer camp for foster children. It is a national program called Royal Family Kids Camp.

Not everyone is able to help at the camp. But we can all do something. Our kids and neighborhood collected donations to create goody bags for all of the campers. Each bag is filled with things that a Mom or Dad might send with their kids to camp. We filled them with journals, pens, snacks, sunglasses, a small stuffed toy, and a little note.

The kids in our congregation helped to tie-dye the bags so that each one would be unique and special. We are happy to announce that we were able to fill 32 bags; one for each camper!

Thank you for your help! Please pray for camp from July 16 – 21. May you each have a fun, safe, and memorable summer!
